The Eman AI-Janabi MD obstetrics and gynecology practice, serving Brooklyn and Staten Island
provides comprehensive OBGYN care to both women and young adolescents with female
gynecological needs.
We offer the following services in; prenatal care, annual check-ups, hormone replacement
therapy, contraceptive care and gynecological problems.
Gynecological related disorders are a frequent and fast growing health concern in adolescents, ranging
from young females suffering from irregularities within their monthly menstrual cycles to much more
complex health conditions such as sexually transmitted infections.
Our practice offers evaluations, diagnosis, treatment and management of all matters reaching out to
gynecological related disorders for adolescents and we are committed in educating them about their
reproductive health.
In order to ensure reproductive well-being, we perform annual exams often consisting of asking
the patient about their sexual history, menstrual cycle and any other irregular gynecological
concerns. We carry out full breast and genital examinations to screen for any irregularities.
Patients are free to ask questions regarding their reproductive development and will receive the
best care.
Amongst these annual exams, a yearly Pap smear is also recommended to potentially prevent
early onset of developing abnormal cervical cells which may lead to serious diseases such as
cervical cancer.

Courtney Tepedino. WHNP. is a board certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from Fordham University with a Bachelor of Science in biology. and worked in the operating room prior to obtaining her nursing degree. She pursued her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at Stony Brook University. where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. joinedSigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. and obtained an award for academic excellence. She always loved children. but it was there that she realized her passion for women's health and obstetrics.
Courtney received an award for compassionate patient care while working on the Mother - Baby unit at one of New York's busiest hospitals. where she helped women recover after birth. and assisted and educated them on newborn care. She is passionate about breastfeeding. and is a Certified Lactation Counselor.
She received her Master of Science degree in Perinatal/ Women's Heal th. from Stony Brook University. has an interest in infertility. and aims to continue to provide compassionate care to women.
Maria Calabrese is a board certified Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about women's health. Prior to graduating from Wagner College with Cum Laude Honors, she had 8 years of experience working in NYU's heavily occupied Labor and Delivery unit.
Maria provides our patients with high quality prenatal and gynecologic care: initial and routine OB visits, annual well women exams, birth control counseling, and minor gynecologic problems. Aside from caring for our patients in the office.
Kaitlin Brandow is a board certified Womens Health Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from Long Island College School of Nursing where she obtained her Associates in Science degree. Shortly after obtaining her nursing license. she graduated from Kaplan University with a Bachelor of Science degree graduating with honors. She was employed at NYU Langone Brooklyn Hospital as a staff RN for 9 years. It was during that length of time she discovered that her true passion was to promote and bring awareness to women's health.
Kaitlin enrolled in the WHNP program at Suny Downstate Medical Center where she graduated with honors and joined the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society.
Amal Amar-Alattaby CNM. MSN is a board-certified Nurse-Midwife and Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. Amal has provided patient centered care to women for nearly two decades. Amal started her career as a labor and delivery nurse and shortly after. completed a masters degree in Midwifery. Amal believes that caring and advocating for women in her community is empowering and truly rewarding.
Amal is continuously pursuing her passion to serve women in her community and is currently completing a doctorate degree in midwifery. She's an adjunct professor at NYU and Downstate University teaching for the midwifery and nursing programs.
